BACKGROUND :
The project envisages the setting out of house plots, roads, common and shop area over an area of 200 acres of land. Each plot has the area of 5 cents. The work is carried out as per the Government Order GO (MS) No.394/08 REVENUE (A) Department Thiruvananthapuram. There are 2329 house plots were set out. The site is KUTTIYAR VALLEY, situated near the munnar town at idukki District.

PROJECT PRINCIPLES :
The project envisages the demarcation of 2329 house plots. Each plot has area of five cents, also demarcate roads in between each plots. Using Total Station to fix the corners of each plot and fix mark on the land. After completing each plot, put an identification number.

RESULT:

  • Site plan prepared for each house plots of total 2329 plots.
  • Fix plot boundaries.
  • Durably demarcated with survey stones for each house plots.

WATER SHED MANAGEMENT PROGRAMM – M.G UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

The Water Shed management Program is the feasibility study of water management in campus area. The intension of the survey is to study, the quantity of water flows over the ground and how much amount of the water can store in the pool situated in campus area. The Project is intended to demarcate the area of each holdings of land in either sides of Malachery River at Mankulam-Munnar, which are acquired to 80 MW HYDRO ELECTRIC PROJECT, KSEB. The total area to survey is around 75 acres of land.

PROJECT PRINCIPLES :
The Project envisages durably Demarcate each holding situated in the 80 MW HYDRO ELECTRIC PROJECT areas. There are total 250 holdings. First step is demarcation of holdings, then take total boundary area using Total Station.

  • Conducting Topographic Survey and preparing contour map showing 2m interval contours using ETS (Electronic Total station) or DGPS or such approved methods or its combinations thereof showing all topographic features like buildings, wells(open and tube wells) water ways/water bodies like ponds, canals, railway tracks, major and minor roads (pucca and kucha) including culverts and crossings, survey stones and other permanent objects like telephone post, electric post and transmission towers of the entire area and taking & recording of river cross sections at every 100m.

Smart City Project, KOCHI
CLIENT : Smart City Kochi .

GPS Services BACKGROUND :
Smart City Kochi is to be developed on 246 acres of land in Kakkanadu area which is about 20 km from the city centre and about 20 km from the International Airport. Smart City Kochi (SCK) is a joint venture between Smart City Dubai and the Government of Kerala (GoK). The total development is spread over 246 acres, in the Kakkanadu area, Kochi in Kerala State comprising 3 land parcels with the following approximate land parcel split

Land A: Area: 131 acres (32 survey nos, 398 subdivisions)
Land B: Area: 100.65 acres (18 survey nos, 348 subdivisions)
Land C: Area : 13.94 acres (1 survey no, 3 subdivisions).

Scope of the Project :
• All land demarcation maps to be collected from relevant authorities / village office of the three Land areas.
• All land boundary corners (points of change of direction) are to be determined by coordinates (north, east).
• All boundary corners are to be physically located by Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) or ground survey or a combination of these methods.
• All boundary corners are to be marked with permanent, durable monuments and be readily identifiable.
• The survey is to be connected to the State/Local control station (benchmarks) or local geodetic grid with an absolute positional accuracy of 0.01 meter.
• Plans of the survey shall be prepared including coordinate lists of boundary corners and permanent reference markers and shall be checked against legal land map. <
• Preparation of survey plans and documentation as required, including ‘signing off’ of survey for purposes of land registration.
• Obtaining any approval(s) of surveys as may be required by relevant Authorities.
• Verification of SCK legal drawings that defines the lands’ perimeter in relation to the State/Local control station (benchmarks) in order to utilize the same in demarcation of the land and determination of the coordinates.
• Verify existing topographic (level) survey data and undertake the required survey to establishment of levels and contours in Land (A, B & C) which are not covered in the existing topographic survey in order to provide and produce a complete topographic survey for all land areas.
• Establish and plot the physical location of the existing fence around Land A and identify any discrepancies.
• Establishment of control points in each Land area.
• Classify wooded Land areas as ‘dense’, ‘medium’ or ‘light’ and indicate the same on the topographic drawings.
• The survey shall be carried out to determine coordinates and elevations of any physical features/structure existing on the Land (A, B & C). This shall include but not limited to:
a. Buildings
b. Fence
c. Walls
d. Other findings
• Upon completion of the survey, the Surveyor shall submit for the Client’s for approval (3 hard copies and 1 soft copy) the followings:
• The survey plan (A0 size) at a scale of 1:1000 that shows the coordinates and the associated list.
• Topographic survey for all areas including the indication of the wooded lands and existing structures.

Topographical Survey shall be carried out covering the entire site and mark all existing details that includes pathways, levels, cluster, compound wall, Boundary line, Rock, road & Culverts with their in IL, pavement, plinth protection, Gate & Gate posts, platforms, Buildings, substation & 2 pole structure, Lamp posts, Trees, Lawns & hedges, swimming pool, Temple, open drains & public sewers water & electrical lines, Bore well, Reclaimed land, marshy land, water tank, cultivation land, mangroves, back water sections within the plot area etc.

PROJECT PRINCIPLES :

  • Marking average levels and contour of site with respect to the curb of the adjacent road including the details of the surface drain adjacent to the main road touching the property with its invert level.

  • Clearly mark the High Tide Line for the land parcel that would be used for measurement of distances in accordance with CRZ norms

  • Existing land use pattern to be clearly highlighted (agriculture, non- agriculture, forest, water bodies, low lying water collectible areas, shortest distances from the periphery of the project to periphery of the forest, national park, wild life sanctuary, ecosensitive area, water bodies (Distance from the HFL of the river)

  • Marking property line layout as per site and demarcating all structures surrounding the site as well as all important structures within a radius of 500m.

  • Marking location of permanent structure at site if any.

  • A grid of 5.0m along both axes shall be established while marking the contour levels at site and the contours could be at an interval of 1 m.

  • Establish Bench marks (with reference to permanent BM on Govt. survey dept) at ground level.
RESULT
  • Prepared one set of colour prints of all the drawings as elaborated in the scope of work.

  • Provide above data in a CD in AutoCAD 2007 format.



GPS BASED BOUNDARY SURVEY OF 161 ACERS LAND – INFO PARK, KOCHI
CLIENT : INFO PARK, KOCHI.
PROJECT PERIOD : JULY 2011 – DECEMBER 2011
GPS Services BACKGROUND :
The project envisages the fixing of boundary point of the acquired land for INFO PARK, Kakkanadu. The Proposed survey area is 246 acres. To fix the control points using GPS. The survey is carried out by using Total Station machine to fix the boundary points based on the Control points.

PROJECT PRINCIPLES :
Establishing UTM Co-ordinate (using WGS-84 datum) based GPS control points in different places on the surface of INFO PARK project area. After establishment of the control points, re-fix the property boundary along with banks of Kadaparayar and other places.

RESULT

  • The boundary re-fixing of the property will be done conventional method using Total Station machine, later the marked points will be incorporated into GPS data base, so that even if a re-fixed point is lost can easily find out the lost point from the GPS data base.

  • This GPS data base can also be used for creating GIS mapping.


RL SURVEY OF ABOUT 100 WELLS IN AND AROUND KMML AT CHAVARA, KOLLAM.

  • Establishing of 4 GPS points on permanent structures.
  • Reduced Level Survey of about 100 wells in and around KMML iron oxide ponds using Total Station. The study area shall be 2 km radius keeping the KMML iron oxide ponds at the centre. The premises of the KMML shall also be demarcated in the map showing the extent of the iron oxide ponds and RL along its periphery i.e. east, west, north and southern sides.
